AGFA STRUCTURIX NOVA X-Ray Film Processor

Compact X-ray film processor for low-volume industrial NDT workflows

Compact and lightweight design suited to space-restricted darkrooms and mobile RT setups.
Easy maintenance with removable racks for quick cleaning and inspection.
Light-tight cover to protect films during loading and processing.
Up to 92 films per hour, supporting steady low-volume or intermittent film workloads.
Reliable performance in rugged NDT environments without compromising image quality.

The AGFA STRUCTURIX NOVA from Waygate Technologies is a compact X-ray film processor designed for low-volume or space-restricted NDT facilities. It is commonly used in mobile RT trailers, small workshops, training centres and inspection labs that need consistent film processing without the footprint of a full-size unit.

Despite its small size, the NOVA maintains stable film quality through controlled transport, uniform drying and consistent chemical flow. This helps technicians produce repeatable radiographs across welds, castings and structural components – an essential requirement for code-compliant NDT work.

The NOVA’s simple design and removable racks make routine cleaning straightforward, reducing downtime and helping the unit stay reliable during long processing periods or field deployments.

For film-dependent operations, Labquip NDT also supplies STRUCTURIX films and processing chemicals, and can forecast and hold local warehouse stock for customers running regular RT campaigns. This ensures fast replenishment during shutdowns, inspections or teaching programmes.

Applications

1.Weld Radiography (Pipeline, Fabrication, Structural Steel)

  • Suitable for low-volume weld RT or intermittent work in fabrication shops and inspection booths.

2.Mobile RT Units & Space-Restricted Facilities

  • Compact footprint makes the NOVA ideal for RT trailers, offshore modules, or temporary darkrooms.

3. Aerospace Components

  • Processes fine-detail radiographs of machined parts, bonded assemblies and small castings.

4. Castings & Forgings

  • Reliable film output for foundries and machining facilities performing QC on dense or complex shapes.

5. Corrosion Monitoring

  • Used for film-based inspections where computed RT is not available or practical.

6.Training Centres & NDT Schools

  • Provides predictable film output for student training and radiographic interpretation practice.

7. Heritage, Archaeology, Anthropology & Museums

  • Suitable for processing films from delicate artefacts, fossils and conservation work.
  • Radiographs of skeletal remains, archaeological finds, bone fragments, mummified material and heritage artefacts where fine detail and consistent film density are essential for analysis.
  • Commonly used by university anthropology labs, museum conservation teams and archaeological research groups working with delicate or non-destructive examinations.

Service & Maintenance

Labquip NDT provides preventative maintenance to ensure the STRUCTURIX NOVA operates consistently throughout its service life.

Our support includes:

  • Cleaning and inspection of racks, rollers and internal transport systems
  • Checks for early signs of wear, blockages or chemical build up
  • Use of AGFA Dev Clean & Fix Clean for controlled chemical system cleaning
  • Greasing and inspection of drive gears
  • Verification of electrics, safety switches and temperature stability
  • Assessment for leaks, vibrations or abnormal noise
